  • Congress must also discourage public and private investment in the CCP’s totalitarian state by pressing the U.S. Treasury Department to deny tax credits for investments in China. It should also insist that the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board scrutinize U.S.-listed Chinese companies and delist them after three years if they fail to comply with the same audits as American corporations.

  • Congress can play a crucial role in changing the perception of American weakness by investigating and exposing Chinese wrongdoing and legislating to stop it. It is heartening that a bipartisan consensus has formed around the need to secure the country and protect the American way of life from the CCP.
