美国中文网报道 周三凌晨，一列货运火车在西维吉尼亚州出轨并坠毁，车上3名列车员受伤，已被送往当地一家医院。
事故发生在西维吉尼亚州萨默斯（Summers）郡的桑德斯通（Sandstone）。据该郡911称，火车撞上一块巨石并坠入当地的新河（New River）。火车在剧烈碰撞后起火，但该郡911已确认，火势已在周三早上7点45分得到控制。据悉，当地消防部门对事故做出了迅速反应。

这列火车是总部位于佛州杰克逊维尔的CSX运输公司的一列运煤火车，但事故发生时，车上并没有运载任何煤炭。
事故发生后，至少有一节车厢和一个油箱掉进了附近的河里，导致柴油泄漏到水中。CSX公司将负责清理干净，目前正在监测泄漏的柴油是否存在任何潜在的公共健康影响。
3名列车员当时正在车内，火车出轨后他们所在的车厢着火。据悉，3人现已被送医，没有生命危险。
西维吉尼亚州应急管理部门发布了一份声明，称桑德斯通附近的岩石滑坡导致了火车出轨。
