有着意大利“头号逃犯”之称的黑手党组织“我们的事业”头目马特奥·梅西纳·德纳罗在潜逃30年后，于当地时间1月16日在西西里大区首府巴勒莫被抓获。被捕时，德纳罗正在巴勒莫市的一家私人诊所接受治疗，病因不明。意大利总理梅洛尼说，德纳罗被捕是这个国家的伟大胜利，表明意大利在黑手党面前不会投降，打击黑手党犯罪的斗争将继续下去，不会停止。

现年60岁的德纳罗出生在西西里大区特拉帕尼市的一个黑手党家族，于2007年前后继任“教父”，在当地享有深厚的权力基础，即便在逃亡时期，也被认为是西西里岛黑手党的最高头目。
德纳罗因犯下数十起谋杀案被缺席审判，面临多重终身监禁的判罚，自1993年开始逃亡至今。警方仅掌握他年轻时的一张照片，此前一直无法查明他的踪迹，他也被舆论视作意大利“头号逃犯”。
