The player gestured toward the stands after racist chanting broke out, causing the game to halt briefly. Vinicius was also later sent off. After the match, the player accused La Liga authorities of inaction. Madrid has called for an investigation into the “hate crime,” which comes after other instances of racism targeting Vinicius this season.
