Latest Zelda set to be another record-breaker for Nintendo

Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which launched this month, has seen a record first-week launch in the UK. Its sales have thrashed the performances of previous games in the series and it has become Nintendo's second best launch revenue-wise in the UK after Wii Fit launched in 2007. The game has amassed strong critical reception and success in other countries such as France, where it sold 500k physical copies during its first weekend. The game builds on the popularity of its predecessor Breath of the Wild, serving as a direct sequel. It uses four power-ups distinct from the previous game that allows the player to manipulate the game world in a creative and varied fashion.
